川王府 Riceblossom is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food is exceptional. Honestly, this restaurant is top ten in Charlotte. The prices are reasonable, and the servers are very kind. They have a mix of traditional Chinese dishes and American Chinese dishes. I'm telling ya, this place is to die for. You gotta try it out.
We came here for my sister's birthday dinner. We were able to be seated immediately and ordered a couple of appetizers. I do not remember our server's name but she was very nice and helpful in giving us suggestions. We got the pan fried dumplings and the handmade wonton in chili oil. The pan fried dumplings were a little disappointing as I could tell that they were mass-manufactured and/or frozen. The handmade wonton in chili oil was delicious and spicy, though! I ordered the pork lo mein as my meal, and my sister got the sesame chicken dinner entree which comes with a side of rice and an egg roll. I got to try some of her meal. The egg roll was a little bland, I assume that they do not use pork because it was not like an egg roll I was used to. The sesame chicken was crispy and had a good amount of sauce on it. The rice was cooked perfectly. The lo mein was absolutely delicious! Very savory and had some hints of sweetness as well. The pork was velveted and tasted great. The service here was very good! Our server was very attentive and also was super sweet! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!
A group of us ordered a couple of dishes to share and every dish we ordered was delicious and savory. The quality of the ingredients were good, and it took some time, but not too long, and turned out great. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the service was great. Would recommend
This place is way across town for us but we sure are glad that we made the trek to visit. They had a big party seated right before us so the food was relatively slow to come out. However, they were very apologetic about the situation. The food all tasted very good! Everything was seasoned perfectly, not too salty nor under seasoned. Food was priced fairly. Would recommend checking it out, atleast once.
It is truly authentic Chinese food as one would say... if you like American Chinese food then be prepared to try this out as it would be different. The Chinese peppercorns in some dishes certainly makes your mouth numb for sometime... enjoy the tofu as it is very soft and tasty, the eggplant with garlic sauce is great as well... we also enjoyed the beef with white rice... overall I would say 8/10 on taste as I loved it.
Taste of SHU was exactly what I needed. Authentic Chinese dishes so rich in flavor; you'll lose your marbles. I couldn't believe I stumbled across this location. Well decorated on the inside. Staff was present. Service was extremely speedy. My only complaint is the pricing. The cheapest dishes seem to be around 14/15 and it continued to increase from there. Pretty expensive if you ask me. Other than that I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Personally, I would return!
First time going to an authentic Chinese restaurant. The menu is based on Szechuan (a providence in China) cuisine. So many unfamiliar dishes which was exciting! We ordered the pan fried dumplings. I decided to play safe and ordered Mao's braised pork belly. My sister ordered the chicken with three peppers. The dumplings were great. The chicken was savory, a bit salty and greasy. It's a good combo with the rice. However, my dish was the best to me. It had heat and flavor. The pork belly was tender. I love the noodles, I want to say they were glass noodles. Service was nice and prompt. I would not take kids here because there was not a kid's section in the menu. The appearance inside was nice. They had the tv on, and an asian show was on it. I like that you can just be immersed in the culture.
This was a surprisingly good, authentic szechuan cuisine. More authentic szechuan would've been a lot more spicy and that might not be too enjoyable for most. We ordered family style. Got the spicy boiled fish and pork. Both were very flavorful and good. The cellaphane with ground pork was probably my favorite. Mapo tofu wasn't bad. Service was pretty good. Highly recommend branching out beyond standard americanized chinese food and try some of their traditional szechuan dishes.
